Police background valid for only 3 months?

I am getting extremely stressed.

Why do they make everything so unreasonable?

My spouse in Iraq got hers done in December and we are struggling with waiting for everything to be set and done. Its already been 1 month and we havent found time to complete it all. After my spouse sends all the papers dhs will take more than 2 weeks alone

It takes them more than 30 days to assess.

Now i am worried i won't have enough time and they will ask for another one.

Why so much pain? Why do they not understand it is sometimes impossible to do everything fast

CIC must receive the application with the police certificate within 3 months of it being issued. They may request another one at a later date if they need to, but that's usually around the time your medicals would expire.

I agree with the previous poster, the police certificate was the last thing I did before sending it in, that way I had plenty of time in case there was a long wait.
