dear batala2canada

though most of our frineds believe that indian ca must get 22 points, but i have also heard some diff opinion from people around me. it could well be possible that u may receive 22 points from IO, but in case he gives u 20 then u will b in trouble. i m also a ca and i claimed only 20 points for education and got maximum points for IELTS. so my advise is to go 4 ielts improve ur score. but all in all it's ur choice.

Message Babutv, he applied with 22 BUT just make sure he needed the extra two points. If he didn't need the two points, then they would still process it after giving him 20.

It might be 22 because there is a 3 year apprenticeship associated with the CA certification. I don't think it is 25 because it is a certification and not a masters. Only my opinion. I am not a CA.

Dear Rupeshari,
Thanks for sharing ur opinion.
I have spoken with couple of my CA friends in Canada. They have got 22 points for 15 year's graduation with CA certification. As per them, CHC treats Indian CA as a bachelor degree so, if someone is graduate with CA, it becomes double graduation with apprenticeship and he gets 22 points. They have suggested me to go for CIA. This is a good additional certificate to get jobs in Canada. Their website is www.theiia.org
This is just to share my information with all of you.
