With MS degree, 10 yrs of non-canadian work exp, good IELTS score (7.5-8), age btw 37-39 and no siblings its impossible to cross CRS score above 430. Max one could get is 370. Do others feel the same or am I doing something wrong in my calculation?

Max out on your IELTS, it makes your score to go beyond leaps. Have your spouse also take up IELTS. Even PNP is an option or a Canadian Job Offer (LMIA). Good luck.

We won't know if you're doing anything wrong with your calculation till u don't give the breakup. 370 seems low for your profile, but it's hard to say cause we don't have full details. Also Like @Raz0r said ielts is the way to bump up the scores. It's not 5 or 10 point, clb 9 gives almost 50-100 points in skills transferability factors.

Buddy your age is on the higher side, you had stated age between 37-39 in your earlier mesage.With that range it would have been possible but at 55 you can create a profile and wait for the CRS to drop down as next year intake has increased so more chances of score coming down.

Umm 55 is the score against the age, not the age itself.

This is the same mistake I did. See, IELTS score does not just add to the Language, it adds to the Skills Transferability section also.

This is my calculation for IELTS attempt 1 (LRWS : 9 9 7 6.5) and attempt 3 (LRWS : 8.5 8.5 7 7)

The only section I couldn't add in the picture is about the siblings and french points; for which I have 15 from sibling.

As you can see in the above comparison, getting a 0.5 increase in S or W gave an additional 7 points for the 1st Official Language and another 37 points for the Skill Transferability.

Yep just as we guessed. You need to give ielts one neat shot. Achieve a clb 9 , adds 50 more points to your skill transferability scores and your crs bumps to 420+ ...not only does that inch you closer to ITA but also strong chances for PNP.

I am not sure if this is how you should do it - I am just suggesting and I would research this option before going for it. (Since I am single)

What happens if you leave out your spouse as non accompanying? And what happens if you get them to take IELTS and a WES verification as well?

Does that make a difference in score?

Also yes, I would suggest that you go for a CLB 10 on the IELTS.

Hi everyone,
Please help me out with my doubt. Do we get no points at all for spouse's foreign work experience? Are the skill transferability section's points coming only from the main applicant?

If that is true, do I still need to show my husband's work experience and submit documents for the same? We do not have proper reference letter for one of his jobs. So basically no letter to match NOC for that job. Do we actually need to show his foreign work experience?

I received ITA on 4th September, 2019.
I really need to solve all this quick. Please help me out.
