Hello applicants;
Before coming to Canada, i listened many stories about Point Of Entry, stories about difficulties there. When my PIA plane was about to land, i was preparing myself for many dozens of questions. Questions like, Why do you want to study in canada? Why did you select this particular university? For which course are you going? How are you going to fund your education? Tell me something about your past? Who is sponsoring your education? Can you show me your degree? What was your GPA?
Moreover i came around 50 days before my course is starting so more questions on that too.

But here is what happened with me

After a long queue i finally approached the officer.
She said "hi" (with a smiling face)
I replied "hello"
She said "show me your passport"

I showed the passport and said " I am a student and here for the first time"
She replied "Good, which university"
I said "University of Concordia, Montreal"
She said " Oh, nice it's a great university"
I said "Thanks"
She than asked " Can i see your admission letter"
I gave the admission letter and then took out some other docs too.

Then she looked at the LOA for few minutes and did some typing on his computer. She then stood up and brought a paper with her, she asked for the passport and attached that paper in it and said "Thank you can go"

I said " Am i done?"
She " Yes sure, u can go n collect ur luggage"

Well that's my story. I am not saying that everyone had this type of entrance but at least i had an excellent entrance and wanted to share it with you.

difficulties in POE are most likely experienced with students/people who have problem / or something wrong with their documents, etc...

if you are a legit student, have every original document (no fakes), you dont have to worry about anything.

just go there, show what they ask, leave. that's it.

I came in June 23 for September section , POE was easy , no question asked though was asked for proof of finance and tuition receipt after submitting LOA , gave them my bnk statement which I used to apply for study permit , got my study permit within 5 Minute , EASY!!

You got Work permit at POE or you have to apply outside?
effective from June 1 2014, those who get study permit are automatically allowed to work part time during classes and full time during summer/winter etc breaks.

Even If you're admission was on a full-time basis, you will still be able to work part-time during the session ?

it's 20 hours / week during session; meaning you may work for 4 hours in week days and rest in weekend or however it suits you
full time during breaks. the student has to be a full time student.
