PNP PR Stage Certifying Copies

I am applying for PR through BC PNP and am just wanting to clarify that at the PR stage of the process do any photocopies of documents included with the application such as passport pages, current immigration visa's, birth certificates, nomination certificate from BC, supporting common law evidence like leases and joint bank statements have to be certified true copies?

I know that if they are in a foreign language they have to be translated and then the copy of the original document has to be certified but neither the guide (P7000) on the CIC website or the checklist (IMM5690) are very clear on the matter especially as it looks like Certified True Copies is under its own heading in the guide and is a seperate instruction from Translation of Documents above.

Please could anybody advise on this matter or share their own experiences when submitting applications through this method.

Thanks
