PNP PR November 2014 Applicants

Hi all,

I am about to be Permanent Residence of Canada. Right now I am on work permit. And I have some tuition credit from my few years study as an international student. I know my SIN will be changed when I apply for new at Service Canada after crossing border. My old '9' one SIN and new SIN will be linked together.

Can anyone please tell me that my tuition credits will be carried forward or not after BECOMING PR?

i dont think you are the first one to think along these lines. it should transfer/refer your previous credit history whenever there is credit enquiry, or else no international student would pay their loans.

Seniors, if you moved from your last address during CIC's application process, did you update your address in SCHEDULE A via email ?

If yes, did you get any specific email to update your address again via CSE ?

I would really appreciate your response.

Just wondering if anyone that has got DM received COPR without out PPR request?
I got DM on January 18th nothing since......

Hi. My ECAS update last showed DM. It never went to PPR. I have now landed a few days ago and it still shows DM!!

It will not show PPR for anyone. After a while, It may show, Application approved.

A few days after landing,it will show COMPLETE...for a few months..and later you wont see anything..ur ecas will disappear and you wont be able to login..

Landed on Jan 31, 2016. Amazing experience. The officer made it look so easy that we never even felt that it was a very big day for us. I am Alberta Resident and went to Seattle for two day and wanted to do my landing from Seattle. Approximately 30 years back my Father landed at the same border and I wanted to repeat it. Initially I was concerned that the officer would ask why are you landing at this border and show proof that you reside in Alberta, but the officer never asked a single question other than what was written on the COPR. He even asked me to write the answers on the COPR after he had already signed the document. He then told me to Sign it and asked me to wait for a couple of minutes. After a couple of minutes he called my name and asked me how much money I have to support myself, I told him that I can show him the bank statement but he said no he just needs to write a number on the computer. He then congratulated me and asked me if I had any questions for him. He then told me to apply for SIN card and get my medical insurance updated.

Total Landing Process timeline at Peace Arc (Douglas Border):
1. Vehicle lineup when you approach border: Sunday Feb 31, 2016 (5:00 pm): 20 minutes
2. Questions/answers with initial post officer: Inquired regarding value of shopping and purpose of visit to Canada. 5 minutes.
3. CBSA office Lineup: 3 families ahead of me. 15-25 minutes.
4. With Immigration Officer: 15 minutes in total including wait time in between.

We were out of there by 6:00 pm.

I was on implied status at that time and the officer never asked a single question about that. He simply did not ask a single question outside of what was written on the COPR.
Amazing experience in Seattle and what a good way to end the trip at Douglas Border.

Dear when u will get a request request just sent an email to CIC to change location of ur spouse to india and also sent an request letter along with ur passport. They will change it with in few days only.

I just received my COPR in the mail today, I'll be landing in the next several weeks. I have some final business to wrap up here in the US and I'll be Canada bound permanently!

Big congrats BiCanada. I know you've had to be patient. Came back to check on our colleagues and glad to see progress. If it's worth it (not sure where you are in the US). I landed at the Sarnia border (I drove from Illinois , through Michigan into Ontario). The border had no wait, very easy, almost not questions. Exactly one month in Nova Scotia today and I absolutely love Halifax and Canada so far.

got interview on call on 27 January and got reply of cse on first week of feb that application is awaiting review by a visa officer. 13 days gone after it still no update.

Select overseas-PNP. Many submitted the enquiry for documents as well as for queries. it works. nothing to worry.
