thats normal.when anyone order their gcms notes,they just send only concern person details.
they will hide your spouse or your lawyer personal details while release you information.
i got same with erased spouse details.

What gcms notes? Can you please help? Thanks.

Here is what I did. I ordered gcms notes a month ago. I saw the reason of their transfer. Its all about family composition complex case. I have a common law who is married in honecountry. We do not have divorce there so I explained why we did not get married. We had a daughter who is 4 yrs old now. So i did not wait for additional documents. I gathered up affidvits from friends and parents /in laws to prove our relationships. I also attached affidavits from her previous partner who she still married and have it notarized. Scanned all the docs submitted it to their email add on oct 7 without them asking. On oct 8 PPR. I just submitted it proactively. The gcms notes helped me identify what is the reason for their decision delaysm if proof of genuine relationships is what they need then I think that is also the reason for their fast decision once all provided. 1) Access to Information, Or Privacy request ?
2) And "What type of information would you like to request?" Should I select
*Notes in Electronic File, Or
*Physical File ?

then select privacy act so u no need to
pay $5.00. secondly select electronic.
they will send pdf file by email.

Interesting. Very very clever of you on gathering up the affidavit ahead of time and proactively. You see, after DM (as is the case with many), Sydney batches up DM applications and transmits a complete batch to ottawa to issue the pPR. In cases like yours where your file is transfered early due to a situation above the judgement of a level 1 officer in sydney the early transfer which is usually on a case by case basis can be a benefit if.....it usually skips a step. You were thinking on step ahead. very smart of you. Congratulations!

My question if start IP February why they let me know October

Need advise I m little confused

I sent my passport and received in Ottawa last October 2. Waiting for them to return it. Usually how long before they send back the passport?

I'm happy to hear this, it means we're not the only ones. My application had only two lines - no updates at all on ECAS - since Medical Received in May.

And when my app went In Process yesterday, it actually noted it began in April. But I assume this update on ECAS just means someone is actively looking at it now, whereas they weren't before. Not sure if that's true, but it would make sense if they've started a new batch of applications.

hERE is the link for GCMS notes. I always select privacy act so I would not pay 5$. GCMS notes are the history of your file from date received. YOu can see all the notes of an officer who is assessing your file. Note that once you request, it takes approximately a month before you receive it.

Yes, I never thought that it would work. I just took my chance even though they said that limit any correspondence to them for it will slow down the process. I just made a note that the file I am going to ask them to add to my file would help them decide on my application. i JUST STATED ON THE SUBJECT OF THE EMAIL : URGENT WITH FILE NUMBER AND UCI . IT worked apparently. I knew people with complex case like mine but they waited 15-20 months for decision. Thank God/.

Dean, pls note that the gcms notes take 30 days before you receive it once requested. If you request on Oct 9, you will receive a history of your file from thge date they receive it up to oct 9 not the day you receive it (30 days)
