There is a doc in Toronto who accepts walk-in appointments only - on Saturdays. Dr. Francis Li. You can call up and verify this.

Not gonna call long distance to verify. But if this is true it would be very unusual. I personally would not want to use a walk in for a doctor unless it was urgent. Going to any kind of walk in can mean a very long wait and no guarantee of even getting in that day. Its always easier to have an appointment and as I said everyone on this forum has managed to get appointment pretty fast. But, this wasn't the big issue I had with what you posted.

In your previous posts you were not clear on mentioning that you can not go to just any doctor, it has to be one on the CIC panel. This was what was so bad about your post and what concerned me the most. Your posts made it sound like a person could go to any doctor who accepts walk ins. There are some places that accept walk ins but not all are on the CIC panel. This is likely what concerned the other poster about your post.

So I wasn't bothered by you saying there were doctors who did walk ins. It was the fact that your post made it sound like a person could go to any doctor for their examination.

When I made an appointment, I could only get one in 14 days. I asked them to put me on a standby list, and the next day they called and offered me an appointment 3 days after that! So it's totally worth asking your clinic if they can call you in the event of a cancellation.

Hi Folks,
I have completed my Medical Exam a week ago and my ECAS have not been updated. I know they take time and its pretty common. I was wondering should I send my ME receipt to CIC?
Thanks

I don't think any of the post regarding the same issue made it look like you could go to any doctor who takes walk-ins.

There are other doctors (Panel Doctors) too who do fast track and they can get you in on the same day. The information shared here regarding walk-ins is for people who were finding it hard to obtain early appointments.

Hello guys, need your advice,

I am AINP PR applicant Nov 2014. Received the AOR on 16th April. Done with the medical on 30th April. My question is will it be good option to pay the PPRF fees upfront online? will that help to save some time? and if yes which is the most convenient way to send them a copy?

Thanks in advance, and all the best to everyone in the process.

i would recommend not to do so..bcz you dont know whre to send and who to send...and if you send it by wrong email that ll delay the case more for the confusion you caused!

Yes, you may pay the RPRF in advance if you're paying by credit card, as payment infos will be recorded to your MyCIC account (your email address). That said, CIC can credit this fee anytime and proceed with the succeeding steps. Once you receive the email advise from CIC to pay the RPRF, reply to the same email at once and attach a copy of your receipt (executed) for confirmation.
