No, not yet, one line was added in ECAS when I got "updated", nothing else.

Same.. As far as I know, DMs happen after couple days of PPR

May I ask when your myCIC was updated? I had it updated since April 18. I am waiting for PPR.

I am trying to call cic about the documents they are reviewing since 1.5 month.. what should i ask them? They always say we received it and wait

Unfortunately, CIC agents cannot tell us a whole lot of information, since they only have limited access. You could ask if Officer left any note regarding additional documents or if there’s anything else that CIC need in order to process your application further.

Hello Folks,
For everyone who got “updated” but nothing changed in CIC account, That update was regarding Background Check that it is actually completed and we’re set for PPRs.
I just spoke to a CIC agent & she verified that everything is completed/passed and said that we will be getting PPRs very soon.

Thank you for the info, it's very valuable, at least now we know what the ghost update means.
Do you know why some people get updated but others don't and receive PPR without the update?

Then she informed that the last note on my file was on April 19, 2018 stating that “Security Clearance has been Passed”

A great relief, so updated in MyCIC correspond to BG pass apparently!!

yeah, they like to make you feel badly about calling and "bothering" them before your 18 months are over. I'm like thinking: dude, when I was applying the processing time was 12 months, no need to feed me this 18 months bs.

I'm trying to understand now whether they send the updates to everybody, i know some people received PPRs without the updates in their account. Or could be that they simply didn't check often enough to notice.

I have question.
Some people write BGIP in their timeline.
Does BGIP is the step when the application is in Sydney checking all the documents are done (such as Schedule A and PCC) or it is in Ottawa stage?
Does BGIP starts when there is no more request of addional documents?

I feel like they might have just missed it or as it was just a “ghost” update so they did not bother to mention it.
