Due date is simply a date 1year from the day CIC starts application processing, don’t have much importance.

Yes I applied for GCMS note, it says medical due date Mar 8, 2018 & CIC started my processing Mar 8, 2017

How do you came to know your spouse has also received Medical Request?

The medical instructions (for your spouse) would usually arrive the same time as yours. Maybe call them and get answers

You can complete medical in Any province with a CIC Panel physician. I know my friend did it in his home country while he was in vacation during last Christmas.


The following is from my IME form in terms of ID requirments:

• Identification, including your passport if one is available. Proof of identity must include at least one

government-issued document with photograph and signature, such as a passport or driver’s license.


You will get a better idea if you call the clinic for appointment.

I checked previous forum- ppl shared that if you will ask the designated centre, Who has an access to e-medical request, can help you find if there are your spouse request made with your IME number. I am planning to check that in the morning with them and at the same time calling to cic for the clarity. Keep me posted if you hear anything.

Calling them will be best in this situation, in my case I have 2 seperate messages in mycic with medical requests for each of us sent in 4seconds interval. Both requests have different IME numbers.

Yeah, they’ll only allow you to renew it if it is expiring in less than year. The complete process of passport renewal took 2 months in my case
