Can I study a 3 weeks program while I am on my Post graduate work permit? Work permit says no but the college staff told me that I can because its not a full time course and its less than 6 months. pls reply , thank you,

Dear All,
I thought to ask some questions about my AINP-PR application made from within Canada.
Here is my timeline:
Documents sent to CIC: Jan 2016
AOR Received: April 22, 2016
Request for Police certificates and criminal background: Aug 2016
Submitted certificates: Sep 2016

Here is the stats of the application
Review of documents: In progress
Background check: In progress

The problem is;
When I left Canada to visit my family, I forgot to renew my visa. Now my study permit is expired and so does the visa. I submitted my TRV application in May 2016 and still waiting to hear back from CIC. I got an MP involved and she inquired on my behalf on my application. CIC replied to her that my TRV application is delayed because of background check. I spent over 6 years in Canada and they never did my background check. I am wandering whether CIC is working on my PR application so they kind of stopped looking into my TRV?
I am a full time PhD student and paying fee from my pocket. My wife and baby are already in Canada and I am not sure whether to bring them back to my home country or wait until we get our PR.

HI friends

I was on Implied status when I applied for permanent residency under provincial nominee program.I had applied for my work permit and valid visa which I mentioned in a letter with my PR application.I stated that i will send updated work permit and visa once i receive them.I called CIC Yesterday and told them that i have my all updated documents ready and ask them that where can i send those documents.They told me that i should wait for File number then i can send them all the documents.I asked them if CIC wont cancel my application because of this, they told no ,cic wont cancel it but they will ask for those documents later.

Today I checked my cic account..my application status is showing canceled due to incomplete application..What should I do now?

My background check has changed from in process to not needed ，and the medical status still not needed.
It is my friend ，her medical status showed the same as yours，and after several days ，she got the MR.

I hope we will get our MR`s soon. We need them so much. I want to get PR until the end of next spring. I do not want to work with my current employer anymore!

That is why I confused a bit. Usually the way how it happens is next one : Background changes from "In Process" to "Not needed at this time" --- Medical changes to "In process" -----after that receiving MR in couple days or could be couple weeks (my friend was waiting for it around 6 weeks).

In my case the background never was changed, since May,5 it shows "In Process" , and medical was changed to "In process" on 21 of October. Also, I heard that usually people receive a notice to check their account on MY CIC. And, I did not receive any of them.

Just log in to my MYCIC account and noticed _ medical is passed.

No email was sent about any change/update on MYCIC account.

Medical was requested - Sep 1st and was done 13th Sep.

Hope for next step soon.

Looking at the trend, July people are getting their PPR now. I am not gonna put my expectation high for this. It could take another 4 months easily.

I have also applied in January 2016.

Received my AOR: February 25, 2016
Started processing : February 25, 2016
Medical Received: June 28, 2016

Everything Passed. Only waiting for Security and Background Check.

Don't know when I should expect PPR.

Really Worried :'( :'(
