I just a recieved additional documents request today, they're asking for my new passport copy since its expiring next month. Im glad it's seems like the're working on our application now! Im just wondering how long it will take again for PPR?

I contacted CPC-Ottawa using the email address CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca and this is what I got back. UGH!

"Your application is in the final stages of review prior to finalization and a decision should be rendered shortly. We do not require any information from you at the present time. An officer will contact you if further information is required."

Took them one day to respond.

Was your spouse also applying for permanent residency? I got married recently too but my spouse is Canadian. I already submitted the notification of change of marital status along with his certificate of Canadian citizenship. I hope this won't make my case into a complex one ...

I don't think if she's Canadian then shouldn't be a complex one.

Last year Feb when I applied, I thought I would have been a PR holder by now. What the hell are these guys doing? Are they working? Why is it taking so long?

We can't do anything until they comes back to us.
EE is very fast and total process will take less than 6 months. We choose wrong method to get PR. We need to wait wait wait wait.... :-X

Everyone get married after submission of application comes under complex case? Or some cases only

I got GCMS notes yesterday nd found smthng like that
***CHANGE IN MARITAL STATUS*** Single to married. File forwarded as Complex Case

I wouldn't. I read somewhere that complex means it has to be transferred to another officer that's about it.

My last notes were generated on 4th April and since then it is at PS. Only God knows what these guys are upto. Also if you got your medical request in March, why did it not show PNP Meds pending and all like it show in my case. Just curious.

I quess they don't hv specific order to process files...
My medical passed but gcms generated on 4-4-17 still showing criminality in process
Mostly they send medical request when criminality passed

Maybe cuz you recently added your spouse your criminality will pass once both of you are clear.
