Please note that CIC never tell you background check starts although it already starts.

That is true
They don't let us know about it because security is done by CBSA and third party organizations. So, even if they are checking it the call centre guys won't know about it

Its a landing interview. They will ask you couple of basic wuestions and issue copr.

I am wondering if this interview has the same meaning as PPR and landing? if I passed this interview, will they issue PR right away or do I need to wait another couple days to get PPR and landing? BTW, what is the copr?
