You are underestimating the CIC officers. Providing them with vital information about your background and history would hinder your application? They need to know literally EVERYTHING. I cannot give you solid reference because i don't have any. However, i can tell you that a CIC representative told me so over the phone, which you can believe or not because i know that their reps are not always accurate with info.

My point is, this might not be an issue. In my opinion, you should notify your officer of any change of your address, marital status, deaths, births, employment and travels.

I can trust you.....may be an officer told you specifically in your case......well below please find the CIC official email as ready reference on my AOR

My point is that, they never ever mentioned this thing any where......and sorry I am not underestimating the officer ....no offence but.. I am just speak up on the policies and guidelines provided by CIC to everyone on their web page and even in the form of official email where no travel history update they need time to time....

I know people on work permit traveling every week to NY and FL for work on WO and their PR is in process so you mean every week they need to send any email to CIC?? that for two days they are going out of country...... its not correct my friend get some research please !

It has opened up a new discussion. Bit confusing...i would agree with Luckychamp because even i didn't read anywhere about travel update to CIC.
Even the AOR email doesn't say anything about it except Marital status, change of address, employer etc etc but nothing about travelling.

There is no need to inform CIC each time you leave the country or do international travels. Only if it exceeds 6 months this is required and you will need to present the PCC of that country as well.

On the other hand, luckychmp is not totally wrong. All of us will be required to submit updated "Schedule A" where we will have to update our travel information from the time we submitted our application until the time they request it. This will be required before they do PPR.

So, in short, you should not hassle CIC with information not requested or outlined in the guidelines as per the post above. If you travel abroad, you don't need to inform them about this until they request it.

CIC (now IRCC) is looking for a way to reduce processing time and have started moving files globally. Which means a file might not be handled by the closest visa office anymore.

For other services, you may see a single processing time, no matter where you live. This is our commitment to process applications within that time. According to anther forum page (pnp-pr-april may june-2015-applicants), June'15 applicants started receiving MR this month only. So September applicants should get their MR in ~June, assuming unchanged speed of CIC processing. I'm November applicant - so even longer for me.
Shahid malik above looks to be outland applicant (Visa office - Islamabad), so his experience and timeline are less relevant for inland applicants, although it's still good to know of course

We had our medical at Nationwide Health Services here in Baguio after a week I checked my status via E-cas and its already Medical has been received.
