To whoever got PPR: were you guys also asked to send 2 photos (for PR card) with the PPR?
Curious if we will have to pay for the card or it is included in the RPRF.

My friend got his PR via Express Entry and did not have to pay anything extra and apply for his PR card, CIC told him they will mail it to him within 6 weeks after landing (he sent photos along with his passport after PPR).

Also: is it necessary to actually land at the border for inland applicants? I don't feel like driving 260 kms south to the border and 260 back if there is an easier alternative.
UPD: found an answer here, whoever might also be interested - http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/pr-inland-landing-at-cic-office-service-canada-t180695.0.html
Summary: you can "land" at your nearest inland office: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/do-rb/services/inland-interieur-eng.html
but people say it takes quite a while to book an appointment, so it's easier to drive to the border and back for most of us (except for those who live way up north or are not in a rush to get their PR and shorten the wait for meeting the physical presence threshold to be eligible to apply for Citizenship).
Have you got your passport request?
