gopsgrg is right..some times credit card payment fails if u try to process the payment internationally...you are right too but there are chances of failure of transaction so better to pay with draft

can we pay CIC fees online from outside Canada via credit card if yes then do we need to till payment from or just attached payment slip.

When you pay online with a credit card your card gets charged right away so there is no question of failed transaction once the payment receipt is generated.

However if you intend to use the credit card payment form there can be issues when using an international card as some members have shared their experiences in this forum when the card issuing bank had declined transaction assuming those were fraudulent charges.

The first option is the safest when using a credit card or else pay the application fees with a Bank Draft.

Just want to ask to those who have applied BOWP, is it 2 years duration or 1 year? How about closed work permit, how many years they will give us for PR applicants?

i think so this is discrimination with Ontario applicants :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Many thanks guys, I will pay online if it will process and generate slip means it is success full. Making draft visiting bank will take time,

Hello starla,

The BOWP is valid for one year and if you apply for a closed work permit I assume the validity of the permit is linked to the duration of the contract you sign with your employer.

Just curious: How will CIC send the AOR/Med request? Is it through email or postmail? If an applicant have a representative, will they send it to the rep or to the applicant directly?

About me: AINP Nominee, PR application received by CIC on July 4.

Thanks in advance.

The AOR/MR will be send my email if you have provided your email address in your application else it would be sent by post. If you have a representative on your application the AOR/MR would be sent to the representative.

Yes Qi. I send another application under CEC on July 13th. At this point not sure which one would be processed first though.

ummm that's true. I was thinking to do the same, but my friend works in immigration agency told me it's not necessary.. CEC takes at least a year i think..
but for AINP, it seems about 6 months after submitting to CIC.
