My PR application was received by sydney NS on May 21st 2014. I applied though PNP Ontario from Canada. Haven't got a file number yet. Haven't heard anyone's application taking such a long time, my friends got in 4-6 weeks. cic page says 8-10 weeks and i m on the 10th week already. Worried. Paid online by credit card and sent receipt, charged immediately. Sent by courier canada post and tracked successful delivery. Dont know whats going on.

Spreadsheet updated. It is noticeable that CIC is taking unusually long time to process applicants from Ontario as compared to applicants from Prairie provinces.

Sent application to Sydney CIO on July 12, 2014, received by Sydney CIO on July 17, 2014. Applied under the OPNP.

My question is... Once the application is received by CIO, do you get some sort of file number before getting the AOR/Meds request, or is the AOR the moment they give you the file number you can track your application with?

Hi, Guys, can you please advise when to pay the Right of Permanent Residency Fee. I received the AOR on July 28th and did my ME on July 29th. I am not sure if I should pay the RPRF now online or should wait until CIC asks. Thank you in advance.

I suggest you pay RPRF when CIC asks you as paying RPRF earlier is not going to expedite the processing of your application in any way.

Hello guys, although my application was submitted in May to the Federal, I see not many people posting on the May 2014 topic. Here is my timeline

- Dec 04th, 2013 - Application to AINP post graduate category
- March 21st, 2013 - Nomination Letter by AB government received on the mail

- May 14th, 2014 - Application sent to Federal Government
- May 16th, 2014 - Application received by CIO
- June 11th, 2014 - Fees charged on credit card
- July 15th, 2014 - AOR ad Medical exams request received
- July 22nd, 2014 - Medicals Done
- July 31st, 2014 - "Medical results have been received" added.

Status as of July 31st, 2014: Application received:
1 - We received your application for permanent residence on May 16, 2014.
2 - Medical results have been received.
