I think so you can add it anytime as I know one person who added his spouse at the last stage. They got married in April 2014 and added spouse in June 2014 and got PPR in November 2014.

Hi MP89,

Thank you so much for your quick reply. Was your friend OPNP? And what stage was he at when he added his spouse?

Thank you!

Hi guys,

I have applied for my permanent resident under AINP. I sent my file to CIO in sydney through canada post and my file was received on feb 24,2015. After that I didn't heard anything about my file number. Does anyone know about what's the processing of getting file number and medical request under applying as a PNP.

thanks.

they are taking around 5-6 months for AOR and then 1-2 months for medical so wait for 3 more months.and please follow jan/feb/mar 2015 forum , this is june/july 2014 forum :D

OPNP Late May/Early June Applicants

I called CIC yesterday, and they mentioned that my file is in Ottawa and under security review right now. They said there're no flags but my dependent's file hasn't been started yet? I am a bit worried now, b/c that means that it's gonna take more time to get Medical Request, as they will first look into my dependent's file and then send me a MR.

Btw, is it true that since my file is already in Ottawa, it gonna process faster now, after the MR mainly?

My application was received by CIc on June 20, 2014. Today after 9 months and 25 days i received Medical request and Request for RPRF. ;D SO happy today. Thanks to ALLAH.

Can you guys please tell me what type of medical exam i have to go thorough. The mail says they are gonna send medical instructions in a separate mail within 72 hours. Is that normal?

I dont know if it is going to process faster or not but it means it will be processed as opposed to being in Sydney where it was collecting dust. Dont worry too much, I think this is progress. Perhaps they will send for MR and RPRF together once security is done which means as soon as you complete those, they will do a final review and move you to DM. I do not know how long it takes to do security though.
Btw could you update your signature so that we can compare timelines since you are not on the spreadsheet.

I called CIC as well yesterday and they mentioned that my file is in Ottawa but they have not made any progress. Next steps are security and background checks. I am just hoping they dont ask for additional docs as that would slow down the processing.

Its a simple test where they do bloodwork, xrays etc. Costs about 250-300 usually.
