Has any of you heard of someone just walking in to CIC office to land, without an appointment?

My friends did that, but in Brazil. They walked in to the Consulate kindly asking for an update, knowing a decision had been made a while back, but nothing since. A very kind officer did the landing there and then for them.

I just dont see that happening here in Canada? A security guy would just send us home, if not laugh in our face :/

This sounds strange, as a landing should be done on Canada grounds

Apologies, maybe I used the wrong word here. Basically the officer made the final step, and they were free to travel to Canada. Whether the PR is handed over there, or here at the airport, I am not sure.

I found a ghost update in my account (not e mail I just login in my account ) 29/11 /2018 called the same day and they old me background check is complete. Called again yesterday to ask if there is any progress with my application and they told me that my file was transferred to local office for further verifications. I had no idea what that means so I search and from the little that I found I saw that usually this is done if they feel something is wrong with the application. So called 2nd time and they told me that my file has not been transferred anywhere still within Canada. I called in for third time today to see what the 3rd agent will tell me and they told me my file has not been transferred.. any idea what that means? Why they told me the first time that ? And if anyone knows what usually means if a file is transferred to local Visa office ? AINP with European origin lived only in Canada and in my home country. Thank you.
