Do I need to send bank statement and bank reference to CIC or just the forms, police cert, photos, etc that are requested. Sorry for all these questions, I just want to be sure.

Yes you can use your brothers credit card for the payment of the application fee, besides you dont need a dom. account to effect the payment. If you have a naira master card (GTBANK) or naira visacard (Access Bank), you can use it to make your payment. I used my GTBank naira mastercard to make my own payment. I hope this info. helps? Hello giggle,

Its not only to have a mastercard with gtbank but you also need to have there internet banking and a devicecalled TOKEN.

You can work into any of there branches to get it done or if you are in lagos ,check me at gbagada branch of gtbank.

Olusheg, your information is not entirely true!!! I used my GTbank mastercard for my payment without a token. All I had to do was write my card number, expiry date, home address and number at the back of the card and my name on the fee payment form; then sign and that was it.....send and i assure you, you wouldn't have issues. That was what I did in my own case and the funds was debitted from my account.

Hmmmmm , i dont want argue on this issue ,all i know is that this is the process flow .

I went to GTbank Awolowo Rd this morning to enquire and waited on queue for customer service for almost 15 min. and went to the counter, am sorry Oluseg the counter guy did not have a clue. I have decided to send my package to my brother with his CC details for him to sign and send to Nova Scotia.

Though you have submitted your application, what Bukonla said is correct. I used GTB Visa Classic card in US dollars to pay for my fee. I have a dom account which I paid US dollars into and later transfer the funds to my visa card and all I did was to quote the card number and the CVV (number at the back of the card) and my card was successfully charged.

I know you can also use GTB Naira mastercard but opted for the visa card which I have been using for the past 2 years now. So in a nutshell you dont need a token to use the card. All you need is transfer funds into the card and quote the card details and you are good to go.

Thanks Bukonla and Emperor. I know it can be done but I wanted to be very sure. I used my second option of sending it to my brother in Manitoba, he signed the cc form and sent it to CIC and they got it today. I guess the waiting starts now.

I'm currently in newfoundland canada on a work visa. I was nominated by the province and have my application sent to the accra visa office. I'm wondering if i will have to go to accra to pick up my visa once its approved. Any comments will be appreciated.

Chiangel56!........did you choose ACCRA as your visa office when you sent in your application? because if you did, then I am almost certain your visa will be issued in ACCRA.....One more thing I am not too sure about this, but I guess you can transfer your case to a Visa Office in Canada since you reside in Canada.....Again I am not too sure about this, so I suggest you ask other seniors in the house. I was just wondering if it is possible to courier once passport to Ghana and then receive it back with a return envelop. Anyone who has tried this should be advise me if this is an option
