To the glory of God my family and myself finally completed our immigration journey by landing at the Toronto Pearson Airport on the 14 December 2013 enroute to Winnipeg, Manitoba. Yesterday made it one month of our arrival in Canada.

I thank Almighty for the opportunity he has given us to achieve this dream of ours and also I thank landed seniors like Olusheg, Ladapo4luv, Ind-dan and Madam Tinu for all your support, encouragement and assistance when we landed. Not forgetting Madam Igbehinadara for creating the forum for this opportunity for meeting great Naija-Canadians, you are appreciated.

I want to encourage as many that are challenged by one delay or the other not to loose hope. My immigration journey started in July 2005 and was part of the recently Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) backlog that was terminated by the popular Bill C-38 on April 26, 2012 but with this forum and research on other routes we were able to explore the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Programme (MPNP) which culminate in our eventual PR status today.

Although am back in Nigeria, family are integrating gradually with the help of landed seniors who continuously show invaluable support and love to my family and me.

God bless us all.

Hello everyone,

Happy new year and it's good to hear all the good news from those who landed in Winnipeg.

I applied end April and my sponsor was interviewed end October but didn't get any feedback on LOA. To allay the tension that we've been under for the over 2 months of silence from MPNP, I mailed them yesterday and this is the response I got:

"The application is in the final processing steps, the applicant will receive notification of outcome by mail."

From your experiences, will like to know whether this is a system generated response or any cause for concern.

Cheers,

interesting, its took them 2weeks to get my LOA after my interview, cos i have a relative there, the funniest issue i had then last year , was my employer too was called to verify if i had really worked with them.

so far so good, i want you to keep your faith strong in your application, your LOA is close by the corner.

Hello my people, i hope some senior members will be able to advise me on this issue. Last November i recieved a letter of inegibility from MPNP stating that i did not include an IELTS in my application and that my mother-in-law age declaration certificate did not have both parents name on the certificate. Based on that, i was told i had not shown concrete evidence with my sponsor in Manitoba. When i called MPNP for further clarifications, i was told now that they only accept NPC birth certificate (which i did not know). I am now thinking of re-applying but i have issues with my bank statements... Is it possible for me to only have sufficient money in my account for like 2months??? what do advise as par bank statements.

Hi House,
Please I need your suggestions. Want to find out if it is possible for me and my spouse to do our medicals in different countries without causing any problems in our application process.

We just received our medical request today, I am in the UK and my spouse is in Nigeria. We choose Accra as our Visa office. Want to know if I can do mine here in the UK ( to save cost of travelling) while my spouse does it in Nigeria.

Did anyone have a similar circumstance pls? If I have to travel to Nigeria at the end of the day, I will, but just looking to see if I have other options.

Thanks.

You can without causing any problem.

Ig
