PMM please advise on ECAS status change

Dear PMM,

Please explain what it means as my ecas status changed just very recently (without any intimation to me about pa or notification of medicals). My work verification was done on Aug 18, 2009 from my Head office as well as my sector by a three member team led by second secretary immigration:

First line on main page states "Withdrawn" and the link reads:

We received your application for permanent residence on December 24, 2008.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on January 13, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We withdrew your application on September 12, 2009 and your file has been closed.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Second Line on main page states "In Process" and the link reads:

We started working on your case from June 5, 2009.

I am thoroughly confused now as exactly similar statements have come for many of my friend on this forum, but at a stage when their medicals are done and they await letter of request for PP. I have yet to hear about my medicals.

Please advise. Many thanks in advance for you valuable input.

How was your inquiry done. Were you able to speak with the concerned people whom the Immi officers interviewed. If yes then what was the feedback and what were the type of questions they asked.

Its quite simple Manj,just try to follow the statements and u will urself understand whats going on.Though theres a confusion in that decision made line but I feel that u r through,pls see the detail under each of ur statuses.

Thats when u submit ur Application to Nova Scotia


- We withdrew your application on September 12, 2009 and your file has been closed.

Now after reviewing ur Application,they sent u a letter that u r approved for further processing and asked u to submit Documents.



- A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Now this line is confusing,but I think Ecas statuses of many people changed recently to that whether they were done with medicals or not!
Most likely reason of this status could be :

- It might be that initially they were not satisfied with ur documentation and thought to close ur file but eventually decided that u should be given a chance and so they proceeded with the Verification at ur workplace,Afte doing that I think that now they are completely satisfied that ur case is genuine and have put ur application IN Process

-They have doen that by mistake but I support my first statement more.


- Second Line on main page states "In Process" and the link reads:

We started working on your case from June 5, 2009.

This line clearly shows that now they are moving ahead with ur application

Just relax and u will soon be hearing some good news INSHALLAH
