I have a very bad academic standing in Fall 2011 semester (all other semesters been good so far). At the start of Winter 2012 semester (the current semester), I dropped my current program and registered for a new program at the same college. They accepted me. I've already pay for my tuition and everything. My new program will start in Fall,2012. But I need to renew my study permit in order to finish this new program. Will that bad academic standing affect my study permit extension?
PMM and other senior members, please guide me, I'm really desperate.!!!!!!!

may b i am wrong.
I think its depend on PR not study permit extension bcoz they are resonsible to extend the visa untill you have coplete your study(course that are you start.)heihoang said:

I think ,,,, either you have a bad academic progression during your studies..... even then you are given an extension if and only if you get further admission ... Academics are related to your studies not to anything else like PR. There are many other steps which one have to climb and many other requirements to fulfill as well.....
