Plz reply its urgent

Hi All,
I just got an email from VAC that my PP has been dispatched . But when i called VAC ,he told me to come after 48 hrs to pick. Is it normal ? Plz answer who has received his / her PP already.
Mine is VAC - karachi , Pakistan office.

I think passports are usally sent back by mail, I don't think you are allowed to pick up. I am not sure though can someone conform please!
