Plz help.......Visa approval chances with backlogs in bachelor....

I have 6 backlogs in B.Tech(Electrical) from which 2 are in 7th sem which means i have completed my bachelors in 4.5 years.
B.Tech - 69.00%
12th - 68.00%
10th - 79.50%
IELTS 6.5 overall (L-6.5, R-7.0, W-6.0, S-6.5)
i have 2 years gap between 12th and B.Tech
I want to do advanced diploma in Power Engineering Technology.
Will I get student visa...??
what are chances of rejection..??

advanced diploma is undergraduate course
as you have already done your graduation you should apply for any post graduate course related to your stream to have good chances of visa

canada has different technical standards for electrical engineers.
power engineering is a specialisation of electrical engineering.

Canada will not issue visa on a lower studies..since you already have a first degree also going for an advance diploma..you should look for a pg or master program

I do not believe that is s true statement that they do not issue permit for lower studies or unrelated studies. I have a BSc in Business majoring in Human Resources and I applied for a diploma program in civil engineering. Was requested by CIC to submit my passport. So I think it is different for each case.

I have a question. I am getting student approval letter from Herzing College Montreal. I am afraid that CIC may reject my application on the basis that I have Masters degree in Commerce and I am applying for Diploma training in Accounting? Is that so? Can I get admission to this training even after having my Master's degree??

@Tankin only 10 out of 100 get visa on a program which is lower then your pervious studies

I am fairly new, I have no experience but as I said it seems cases are different as well as it may depend on the visa officer who has your case. I cannot speak to a Masters and Diploma program as I really do not know. I was told the same thing when I applied and I was very deterred about getting visa approval and dwelt on all all the negatives after reading all the stories on this forum about different program levels and deferring paths . I am just stating that the possibility exists that you may be approved. As mentioned I cannot say for sure, just sharing my own experience. I do wish you all the best.

visa is issued on the basis of your level of your selected study , not on the basis of job prospects . Visa officer will judge you on basis of your present study level and the course you opt in canada . Good visa chances require continuation in your studies . VO analyse your profile for your studies not on the basis of job prospects in canada

den too i got my visa after exactly 1 month !! be positive and try to help others !!

Congrats dude. I agree about some people spreading negative vibes but then there are some also who won't heed
to any advice and believe that whatever they think is right and they still come here seeking advice. I guess there's
