We transferred your application to the local CIC office on March 9, 2010. The local CIC office may contact you.

we received a letter on Monday saying file was transfered to Mississauga for further accessment.........

does anybody has this experience and what was the outcome

what cld be the posible reason for rhis and whats the next steps now.

plz guy we are lost here...

most likely u will have to attend the interview. they are not satisfied with ur application. so they will ask questions. better call them and ask to clear it out. why to wait here on forum when u can just call and get the right answer right away.

thanx for responding Asta. i did call and they said i have to wait for 10 months.... what do u think could be the reason...

sometimes it takes a year or even more to wait for interview, so the time they give u is "normal".
reasons might be various. maybe they doubt about ur relationship being true? maybe u have some bad history of entering Canada? or ur spouse? overstayed? any previous marriages? are u common law?

we are genuinly married. i am have she has 3 kids and is a year older, i am also refugee. however, do u no of any case transfered without AIP.... what was the outcome???

i have read cases here on the forum u should browse the forum and search for the cases.
the fact that they transfered ur application without AIP is "normal" as well. thats how the process work: either they are satisfied with application and give u AIP and the transfer to local office; or they are not satisfied with something, and they dont give u AIP and transfer ur application to local office for interview.

u should order ur CAIPS notes. there usually they say what is wrong and what they dont like. so having those notes u could prepare for the interview.

im just not sure which one u need CAIPS or FOSS or both..

others should advice u.

thank u very much Asta...u been very helpful....but ....

do u kow anyway transfered without AIP that eventually got approved?

and do u think my case is dicey?

Many cases that are transferred without AIP are later approved. It just means that they want an interview because they have some questions. You can order your FOSS notes to see what their problem is. 10 months is not too bad. If the visa office where the application is sent to is a busy one, it can be much longer.

THANKS Leon it was transfered to mississauga. do u know mississauga waitime??? any idear?

Did you not say that you phoned them and they told you 10 months?

The best way to find out the wait time is to do what you did and phone. Anytime there are "issues" with an inland application - typically either they dont' believe the relationship is genuine and they want to interview, or the applicant doesn't have valid temporary status in Canada - the ap can't be processed in Vegreville and it gets transferred to the local CIC office for further assessment. This happens all the time right at the point that CPC-V is first assessing the application - usually 6 months after it's submitted when a straight-forward ap would be issued AIP.

You mentioned being a refugee - if you had a failed refugee claim prior to your marriage, they probably have doubts about your "genuine relationship" and they will want to interview you to make sure you didn't just get married so you could stay in Canada. Also, it's possible/probable that you don't have valid temporary status in Canada, and that alone would cause the ap to be transferred. You're fortunate that Mississauga has a shorter local office timeline - some offices, like Etobicoke, are backlogged for 2 years! All you can do at this point is wait to hear from them, and order your FOSS notes so you can maybe learn exactly why they transferred the application. That will help prepare you for whatever comes next.

Thank you Robs....i application for refugee wasnt refused. but i ll sure order the FOSS FILE.

thank you Fermandita....so whats ur situation now since u didnt get AIP BEFORE YOUR FILE WAS TRANSFERED....??? Are u inland as well and what your timeline???
