PLEEEEEASE HELP My husband,me and our 2kids took our PR on May 15 2009 which expires on May 14 2014.We stayed in Canada for just abt 45 days and returned to India in July 2009.In October 2009, a Canadian Company employed me and stationed me in India. I have competed more than 3 years as an employee of a Canadian company outside of Canada. Now,
1)am I eligible to apply for citizenship ?
2)Are my spouse and children eligible to apply for citizenship?
3)After how long do we get the final decision?
4)We have to visit Canada in 1st week of May 2014. If we don't get decision on citizenship till then, can we travel on PR documents(before expiry of PR documents) ?
5) If we have to enter Canada after expiry of PR documents, What are the options ?
6)Can We apply for renewal of PR card while outside Canada ?
We are really confused . PLEASE HELP.

1) No. See http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/cp/cp05-eng.pdf

2) No.

3) Not applicable.

4) Yes. If you don't meet the residency obligation requirements, you may be reported. See below.

5) You will need to apply for a PR Travel Document.

6) An application for renewal must be made from inside Canada, but a relative or friend in Canada could post it for you. Any replacement card will only be delivered to an address in Canada.

You say that you are working for a Canadian company. Depending on your circumstances, you may not qualify to claim the days towards residency. Please provide more details on exactly how you are being employed and how you were recruited. See http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/enf/enf23-eng.pdf Section 7.4

i think, it was not a good idea to leave this country.even though you have a PR card you may not be able to travel to Canada as you are not meeting the residence obligation, If I am in your situation I will surely check with the Canadian authorities.I wish all best wishes
