hi experts,

I am an IT systems manager and trying to immigrate to CA. I am not married and I have no relative at CA. What I have is my qualification like:

Bsc. Engineering (Computer Science And Engineering) - 20 points
Working Experience (5 Years) - 21 points
Age - 10 points

I hope if i try hardly i will get full 16 points from IELTS. Then I will have full 67 points to be qualified.

my question is, is it in the safe side to have more than the passing 67 points or just 67 points will make me eligible for FSW. pls. suggest me.

regards

67 points will make you eligible for FSW. However, you need to be 101% sure your calculations will get you the 67.

Hello protima09;

Welcome to our Forum;

Well, you did not specify your Job title. Hope it is under NOC38. Otherwise, may I suggest you analyze more carefully your Job title and Job descriptions? Trust me; this will appear more important for you after you score full points from your IELTS.

Good-luck!

dear mr. sohel,

i think u r from banglaesh and i m also from banglaesh. Thanks for ur reply. Actually i have completed my grauation in 2004 and since then i m doing job as an application developer. I have become an assistant manager in the above said department from 2006. My responsibilities is to develop ERP applications and lead a group of application developers. So, i want to claim my experience in the subtitles of "computing and information system managers". Another thing, pls. clarify me does an asst. manager can be in the group of computing and information systems managers or not??

Pls. share your opinion.

if you have 67, you will be qualified. a couple more things you could do before you apply, though it can take you a while before you apply...

1. have yourself enrolled in a french language course. this may increase your points at the time of applying for immigration.
2. if you are planning to get married in near future and your spouse is a bachelors or masters degree holder, you will get additional points under adaptability for your spouse's qualification. in that case, apply for immigration after getting married. if spouse has masters degree, you will get 5 points, and 4 points if spouse has bachelors degree.

good luck.

Yes i know about the spouse education point, but i m going to marry in the next year...but i m worried if CIC impose more hard rules in the near future and if they removed the computing and information system managers from their list as i m quite desperate to move there..

Hello protima09;

First of all as a Bangladeshi, let me greet you on behalf of the "All Bangladeshi Applicants Forum!"

Well, I understand very well about your concerns. It is true that a change MAY come soon in eligibility determinants where Job qualification always gets the supreme priority.

No doubt, that in NOC38, job titles rule the eligibility factor for a PR applicant. However, the most important thing, as many of us always said in this and in other Forums time to time, that please make sure “your education and your job descriptions match at least ONE mentioned in the NOC38 list.”

Let me quote from the posting (with a few changes) of one of our senior members ja77 (on 2nd of June’2009)

“What you are referring to are the employment requirements. They are listed under the NOC38 only to tell you that you should meet these requirements if you want to get a job in Canada in this profession. People working in IT sector at senior or team lead levels sometimes have managerial duties as well... not all the managerial duties but hiring the staff, making and implementing policies, managing the team(s) are usually the common duties of IT team leads also. So if someone wants to try his luck with these responsibilities and apply for Canadian immigration, there's nothing to loose. This is up to the applicant and his/her boss to prove that he/she did the managerial duties. If he/she succeeds, well and well. If he/she misrepresents and get caught, his application will be refused. So, I think this depends how he/she puts forward his application.”

I think that it will be quite hard for someone to give someone else a satisfactory answer on NOC38s Different “Classified Sectors”. I wish with all good faith for all respected PR applicants that their earnest effort come true. I hope that you will find your deserved answer by clicking the following important link;

http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=0213

I wish you all the best. And last but not the least would you mind to give us your valuable feedback in the “All Bangladeshi Applicants Forum?” I am sure that it will enormously help our other Bangladeshi potential applicants.

Thank you.

dear mr. sohel,

i can manage my boss and office to show me as an asst. manager (EDP). but the problem is, i have total job experience of 4.5 yrs (since i have completed my study) and if i show the total experience as an asst. manager, will they think that how could i be a manager after just finishing my graduation?

I am also confused because manager>asst. manager. so, can i apply in the computer and information systems manager NOC??
