Pls Qorax guide abt withdrawal of file

Hello Qorax,
I have read in this forum a lot about how well informed and helpful you are.
I hope you can help me also with my query.

I had applied in April 2004 from Delhi and since July 2004, my e-cas status is showing 'We stated processing your application on (--) July 2004.

After that document update was requested in Aug 2008, which I sent within two months. But my status has never changed and no communication since then from the VO.

I now wish to withdraw my application. I understand from other threads that I will have to send a fax or a snail mail asking to withdraw my application. Given my case details (as much as I know of it), will I get refund of my application fees ?

Secondly will they return all my documents (only PCC and IELTS were given in original). Will they have the details of my employment and other personal details in their record after my application is withdrawn ? i.e what do they do with the file (documents) on withdrawal and do they keep the details in their computer system or is that case treated as over and done with and records eliminated ?

Will my previous application and the withdrawal affect any future application for student visa or tourist visa to Canada ?

1. If u w/draw@this stage - it's unlikely that u'd be refunded your processing fees.
2. If u do w/draw, u'd only be returned your original edn certs, b/certs, marriage certs & the IELTS results [what/which ever applies].
3. After the 2nd AOR [which should be your case] our files get micro-filmed & 'digitally' saved in the CIC system, for posterity.
4. In all your future contacts with CIC it'd assist them with your b/ground checks - but nothing adverse could occur usually.

But I was not given any 2nd AOR !?

U have passed the 2nd AOR stage before your doc update request was sent in 2008.
