I hope everybody here is fine, i have applied my case in nov2006, under skilled professional category, i m still waiting since then, recently got married, and now i want to update my marital status, but there is no information regarding on CIC website, can anyone help me out in this...pls write back

go to PROFILE > Forum Profile Information > update as required.

You have to down load and send updated application forms.

To add your wife to the application, you need to submit the updated application package. Complete the forms again as if you are applying for the first time as a married person, and include the appropriate documents (marriage certificate, wife's birth certificate, copy of passport, copies of education diplomas and work experience, immigration photos, etc) and send it by registered mail to your visa office indicating your file no clearly and on the documents. Also you need to make the additional fee payment for spouse.

First of all, I would like to congratulate you for getting married. The list of the forms and doc can be as follows:

Forms:

(a) Generic Application Form for Canada [IMM 0008)
(b) Schedule A: Background/ Declaration [IMM 5669] Completed by Principal Applicant and Spouse.
(c) Additional Family Information [IMM 5406] E-Completed by the Principal Applicant & the Spouse.
(d) Supplementary Information - Your travels [IMM 5562]
(e) Fee Payment Form – Application for Permanent Residence – Federal Skilled Worker [IMM 5620]

Documents of the Principal Applicant and Spouse:

1. Certificate(s) of marriage (notarized)
2. Copies of passport of spouse (Notarized)
3 Birth certificate of spouse (translated and notarized, if any).
4. 5 copies photographs of spouse as per photo specification.
5. Application fee of spouse
6. National ID of Spouse (Translated and notarized)
7. PCC of spouse (its possible to send later based upon their requirement)
8. Any updates from your side like passport change, job change and so on.

Write a cover letter and make a list of changes in your case. Hope this will work.

Thanks, Zafrul bhai. Sorry I missed the point of education which is a vital issue, of course. At first, when updating visa office about my marriage, I had not sent my wife's educational doc as she did not complete her BBA till that date. However, I updated later on. + 1 for you, bhai.

About marriage docs, you probably noticed I wrote "marriage certificate(s)"...ha ha ha...to mean any other such docs applicable for your religion. Good findings.
