Hello..My husband's working hours are around 42.5 per week as he is working in government and they are working on1st and 2 Nd Saturday. The thing is we have claimed points as per 40 hours. As we have received ITA now we need to submit work experience letter. But in that it says 7 hours and 40 minutes in 6 days in 1st and 3rd week and 5 days in 2 Nd and 4 the h week. All in all it comes around 42.5 per week. What should we do ? Is it major concern ??

I don't see where the issue is. You have claimed 40 hours per week but it is actually higher in work experience letter. If it is the other way round, then, you could be concerned. Either way, it is best to add LOE for this case. It won't hurt.

This is just my view.

No issue at all. Hours/week only need to meet the minimum threshold. Both 40 and 42.5 are above it. Nothing to worry.

Yep. There is nothing to worry about...as mentioned above you can explain it in LOE, making the visa officer’s life a little easier...But I don’t think you have anything concerning here....Good Luck!

Has the employer mentioned the words "permanent employee" in the reference letter?

Thing is in 2 weeks working hours are around 37 and for remaining 2 weeks working hours are around 46. So when profile was created we have written 40 hours. But now in experience letter hour are deffering...

It won't be a problem. the '40 hour work week' is an average estimation. So in your case.. the average comes to 42 hours . This is not a discrepancy.

I was thinking outloud - can your husband explain this math to his employer and can’t they just change it accordingly on the Reference Letter?

The CIC requirement for full time work is 30 hours or more a week. So even the lower hours qualify. If you're worried you could attach a LoE explaining that the number you declared in your profile is the average of all weeks in a month.

Do not worry even i had the same issue when i applied for my PR, all i did was attached an explanation letter with my file and everything went smooth for me.

i dont understand then why my consultant makes it a large issue and emphasis on getting new ref. letter or to withdraw application and apply as fresh. They says their client had same issue and rejection came
