Hi. I have 8 years experience in PM positions at some finance/tech companies(started off as a business analyst).
How hard or easy is it to find jobs in the same field at decent tech companies vs consultancies? How does the pay compare?
Also, how hard is it for software developers (Javascript,NodeJS,Python) to find a job?- asking for a brother

Hi got a COPR..haven't started the job search yet, but for whatever the research i have done so far, looks like jobs are harder to find in Canada,especially the first one!

To be honest there is a lot of demand for front end web developers and people who did learn node js are needed since a lot of them are actually backend developers who mainly use javascript.
I think you should try reaching out to a few companies who require web developers. I'm sure there will be a few openings

You can do the research but as many will tell you until you have actually landed in the country securing a job in advance will be challenging as most employers are not interested until someone is available in country.
