hi everyone....my status changed to "application received by VO" yesterday. How much time will it take to get "In Process". My VO is New Delhi.

Secondly, my wife is 20 weeks pregnant. She is the primary applicant and when the verification call goes to her office, she will be on maternity leave. What will happen in that case. Will the visa be refused? What should be the necessary steps that I should take at that time?

Has anyone had similar experience ??

Pls suggest....Thanks

for change in status 'll take min 90 days .

Dear
Status needs to be updated with CHC once the baby is delivered with all the relevant documents like birth certificate, pics and passport of baby. Informing them now will not serve the purpose as you are in the initial phases of application.

thanks ashraf

but I think the employer verification will happen before that. My question is that since I have not informed VO about the pregnancy, when the VO will call my wife's office she will be on maternity leave at that time. Now I want to know when VO will come to know that she is on maternity leave, will this cause any problem, will the visa be refused due to this ??

Pls suggest

your wife has claimed points for her experience till the date she was working-meaning before going on leave (because you are saying when you sent the application she was working, now she is on leave right?)- then the points are alloted for past experience i.e. from starting date to application date-1,2,3,4 years whatever is applicable in your case. in this scenario, even if employer says she is on maternity leave, they will verify for how long she worked before that, her leave will not effect processing. visa offices check what you have claimed is right or not, they do understand changes can happen in a persons life after an application is mailed. so relax. just hope employer remembers her and gives all details correctly. good luck.
