I agree but more to the point look what has happened to the UK as a result of free movement in the EU.

I could envisage far more people wanting to leave the crowded UK for Canada/NZ/Australia than the other way around so maybe be careful what anyone wishes for. Obviously there are areas of immigration where things could be made better in any of the countries but free movement I dont think is one of them.

Actually this would something great for the North American countries, much like Europe has. We discussed this while I was in my undergrad program. Unfortunately, we are a lot further away from something like this than we were a few years ago, this will not happen anytime in the near future.
