Hello,

I Live in England and have done all my life. I will be applying for a FSW VISA to London, UK fairly soon.

My dilema is: My Canadian boyfriend who lived in England for 2yrs is now back in Canada (since Sept 09) we have been together 2 years.
We are not common-law as we have not lived together (as such).

I did not declare him in my application to CIO as there were no grounds to.

Can I or should I explain to immigration London, UK that I do have him as a contact in Canada and that I will be living with him when I arrive (if I get a VISA).

If I can what part of the application do I put him under?

Please help!

Thanks

:D Hi,

There is no place to include your boyfriend in the application form.

Morning- How your Canadian boyfriend is going to impact your file at this time? I think it will sound like me telling you that I have a bird pet that is in the forest near my house. This is not going to help you because right now your boyfriend can be the boyfriend of anybody in Canada. I suggest that you keep it quiet until you get your visa. He will become critical at landing state of your immigration procedure because you will not worry about looking for apartment and you can ask him if you could use his address to get your PR card and other government documents. That is just my thinking, however, if you would like to the visa officer to start asking you for documents that you will not able to provide then good luck my friend.

I would be able to provide any information about him and copies of his citizenship/miltary Canadian Airforce documents. his time in Engalnd ect, he is the reason why I am going to Canada after all. I have already been to Canada 3 times this year and have evidence of that.

Just though it might have been useful in my Adaptability into Canada.

Of well......best not mention him then.

I know that you would like to be near your man as soon as possible but that is your feeling and the immigration officer may take it in a different way. You are relaying too much on a relationship that has no warranty. That may compromise your credibility and jeopardize your chance. By not mention him in your application, you are not hiding anything to ICI and you have a great chance to enter Canada sooner since you are from UK. His citizenship/military and Canadian Air force documents are not going to help you to the point where you are thinking. He is going to be critical during your landing but you can always do whatever you feel is good for you. This is just the way I am seeing it.
Good luck my friend,

No that makes perfect sense. Thank-you for your advice.

Much appreciated.

morning-I am glad that I could help somebody. Keep your boyfriend in your heart and private life and face your immigration project with pride. You can do it!
