Hi All,

I am on work permit since 1 year in Toronto and I sent my Initial Application to CIO Sydney on May 27th 2010.
How long is the waiting time to receive any sort of info from them?
How will I be communicated? Is there any way to check the status of my application?

If you have received file number then you can check online status of your application.

1. Go to website >>>> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp
2. Right side menu click on Check Application Status.
3. Click On Continue
4. Check on checkbox for Security page. Then click on Continue Button.
5. Provide Identification Type as Immigration File Number or any other option with the details you are having.
6. Provide all the details and click on Continue.

You can see your application status here. For other questions I request other seniors to answer please.
