Hi,

I have following questions:

I have still in between of my PR process and I am single right now, but I want to get married after getting my PR:
I want to know when can I sponser my Spouse after getting PR. How much time do I need to spend in Canada before sponsering my spouse.

My company wants to apply for my H1B now. I am confused whether I should go for it or not? Can I have H1B and Canada PR on my passport at the same time.

I thought to take leave for 2 months and go to canada and take PR and then spend 2 years in US on H1. Then I can find intera company transfer to Canada and shift to Canada.

Currently I have to appear for an interview on 25th Jan and I dont know how much time it will take for final decision.
Please suggest me something.

I am so much confused what should I do?

Thanks, Prab

"When you sponsor a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner, or dependent children to become permanent residents of Canada, you must promise to support them financially" So you can apply after you have fiancially stabalized and can prove that you can support them.

Yes No Issues

I thought to take leave for 2 months and go to canada and take PR and then spend 2 years in US on H1. Then I can find intera company transfer to Canada and shift to Canada.
Sounds like a good plan. No legal iissues

Can not say. Each case is different. It can take 4 weeks to 4 months after the interview

You must also be living in Canada in order to sponsor your spouse. So if you plan to work in the US after obtaining permanent resident status in Canada, you won't be able to sponsor your spouse until after you've moved back to Canada.

I attended interview on 12th August and still waiting for visa. I think a good option for you will be to go to US on H1. Send your passport to CHC, ND for stamping whenever they ask for it. And ask your prospective spouse to apply for Canadian PR.
