For visitor Visa do you need to give bank statement for 6 months for just bank balance report?

Bank statements for 6 months with complete transactions.

The idea is for the visa officer to check that the bank balance matches the declared sources of the applicant's income + nothing was borrowed to prove that the applicant has a 'strong' financial situation, etc
