Hi my gf will likely have a job offer from an organization in the next few days. The thing is that her contract will likely be for one year and she is currently here on a working holiday visa which will expire in Feb 2016. If she applies now for the waiting list for the young proffessional visa and she gets accepted can she start her young proffessional visa before her working holiday visa runs out? Also if she got accepted and she received the port of entry letter does she have one year to use that letter (she did this for her working holiday visa)? Would she have to start the young proffessional visa in 2015 because her job offer would be in 2015?

One final question. She has one offer where she would only work 32 hours per week. Would this affect her eligiblity for the visa?

She will be contacted tomorrow or the next day and her decision will be partly based on her visa situation so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

hope for the best

For working holiday or young professional ... you basically need to check on the agreement Canada has with the country that your gf is from .... as far as I know no one can just switch from Working Holiday visa to Young professional .....Please go to the below website and find the country your gf is from then read the rules there ... http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/iec/

Good Luck

She is from Germany. I should say that we don't want to switch really, we just want to know if it's ok to start a new young professional visa while still having days or months left on the working holiday visa.
