Please help - PR travel document - VFS India

Can anyone please tell me how long does it take to obtain pr travel document in India? I have applied for my pr but I wont be receiving before I go to India for an emergency. I am planning to apply for travel document in India. Please let me know it is easy to obtain pr td? I meet all the obligations.

My spouse is in a similar situation and is still stuck in India. Application received in their office on October 9th and still no update whatsoever.
Getting anyone on the phone regarding travel document alone is a minor miracle and they wouldn't know anything either. She applied with the return ticket for November 2nd and we had to cancel the ticket.
We just received our PR card here in Canada and I will be sending it along with my friend who is traveling this weekend. Yesterday we asked consulate to cancel our application and return the passport. Yet to hear back anything

Bottom line is there is no processing time in their website and you just have to hope that you will get it back within a reasonable time. It's already 25 days and no update yet. But there are people who received it in 3 weeks. Now its upto you to make a decision. Getting anything done over there is a pain.

Received the travel document today. 26 days including 5 days shipping. If you are nearer to Delhi should be even faster.
