Please help me confirm my understanding

I am preparing for Police Certificate (PCC).

I will have to prepare one from Hong Kong SAR. However, only when there is a formal request letter from IRCC then it is possible to issue a PCC from Hong Kong SAR, the following is the instruction from IRCC in this regard (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...-permanent-residence/police-certificates.html)

If you need a request letter
Some countries will only give you a police certificate if you have a request letter from us. If this applies to you:

• Upload a document in the police certificate field in the document checklist that says: “I am applying from a country that requires an official request letter from IRCC to get a police certificate”.

We’ll then review your application. If it is otherwise complete, we’ll send you more information on how to get a police certificate.

My understanding is that at this moment, I can just leave Hong Kong PCC alone but submit other documents first. If those documents are complete, then IRCC will let me know how to get the Hong Kong SAR PCC, is my understanding correct?

Also, I have stayed in the last 10 years in the following countries for > 6 months:

1. UK: Will apply for ACRO
2. Switzerland: Will do in person, in Post Office (sounds weird to me)
3. Canada: No need to get PCC
