Please help me anwer the question 2 in background information of stu.perm.form

Hello,
I am going to apply for study permit, and I am very confused about the question 2 in background information of study permit form which is " Have you ever been refused a visa or permit,denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?". I personally haven't and I older than 18 year olds, but my parents got refused for visitor visa to visit Canada 1 year ago . Should I say yes or no, because I heard that many cases made the mistake for this question.

You answer should be "no".
Since they clearly mentioned the question in your context and not in context of your family members.
