Hello,
In the application in the history part it asks have you ever been in common-law or married before? My answer would be YES as I have been married, however, when I went to Canada I was staying with him and his mother, she owned the home he did not, she paid the bills, there was nothing joint in our name etc so I suppose I can say NO to common-law, even after we were married we continued to stay in his mothers home until I left to go back to the UK then we got the divorce. (I NEVER worked during this time - I extended my visit visa).
My question is, there is a FROM and TO date, here would I put the date we married and then the date we divorced? I just want to be sure what I should put as I don't want to make a mistake and it comes off as misrepresentation.
Thanks!
