Hello,

In the application in the history part it asks have you ever been in common-law or married before? My answer would be YES as I have been married, however, when I went to Canada I was staying with him and his mother, she owned the home he did not, she paid the bills, there was nothing joint in our name etc so I suppose I can say NO to common-law, even after we were married we continued to stay in his mothers home until I left to go back to the UK then we got the divorce. (I NEVER worked during this time - I extended my visit visa).

My question is, there is a FROM and TO date, here would I put the date we married and then the date we divorced? I just want to be sure what I should put as I don't want to make a mistake and it comes off as misrepresentation.

Thanks!

1. Well if you want to cover all bases, list the common/law time (since he is not sponsoring you it doesn't matter if you can't prove it) and the dates of the marriage.

Hi

1. Well if you want to cover all bases, list the common/law time (since he is not sponsoring you it doesn't matter if you can't prove it) and the dates of the marriage.

There is only one tick box it says common-law/marriage, there is no space to put 2 options or even a text box, would it be okay to put marriage date and divorce as I have put previously in the application I was staying with him (dates when I started and left UK) so all dates of my whereabouts are covered?
