I am honored to receive this opportunity of introducing myself as Arshdeep Singh, resident of Jalandhar, Punjab, India.
I have done 10th standard with 64% marks which got completed in 2017 from Punjab School Education Board. I planned to seek further education in Commerce stream and scored 88% marks in year 2019 from same board. After, completing my education from India, my next goal was to seek international qualification and after thorough research I found Canada to be an ideal destination to continue my education so to be able for Canada student visa I took Ielts and scored 6.5 bands. I browsed internet and found Canadore College to be suitable institution to continue my education. I enrolled myself in General Business which was relevant to my previous studies. Now, I am starting my Canada Study permit process under Student Direct Stream.

Family Background:
I have a tiny and happy world. My father is a employee,agriculturist and also working as an dairy farmer . I have seen him working hard for all these years for us. He is very caring. My mother is my best friend. She is SELF EMPLOYED and RUNNING A BOUTIQUE and taught me all the moral and ethical values. I always wanted to spread my knowledge to others.My father and mother will be taking care of my studies and living expenses in Canada and with support of my family I believe I will graduate from Canadore College with flying colors.

REASONS FOR CHOOSING CANADA:-
It is rated as one of the most live able country and is known for cosmopolitan and multicultural community and excellent culture, food, fashion and entertainment activities and destinations. It includes quality of education, quality of living, reputation of universities, the student mix and affordability. While studying in Canada, I will explore the new land and gain new experiences to meeting multicultural people.

Why did I choose General Business for my further Studies?
I was always interested in the field of Business and Commerce, and that was the reason my senior secondary education is from commerce background. My aim was to continue studies in relevant field and therefore I choose to study General Business for my future studies at Canadore College. Since my childhood I wanted to become a successful businessman in my life and I am highly motivated from Indian Business Tycoons like Indira Nooyi, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Arundhati Bhattacharya, Archana Bhargawa, Chanda Kochhar, etc who made it big in business field. These people inspired me a lot to choose this field for my professional Career. Further, my parents were also running their individual businesses and growing up looking at them motivated me to seek business as a future subject for studies in Canada.

Why did I choose Canadore College?
Canadore College is one of the best public colleges in Canada. This college was established in 1972. There is no better place than Canadore College according to my research so far to have the study I want to complete. Having international exposure along with being educated from such a reputed college with GENERAL BUSINESS will surely aid me to setup my business when I will come back in my hometown.
Along with having quality academic education, the emphasis which is given on practical teaching and knowledge of pupils in Canadore College is the major factor which distinguishes it from other colleges. Moreover, curricular activities are also considered important in this educational complex, which can broaden my abilities as well as my cognitive skills.

Future Prospects and Career Opportunities-
As we know that career opportunities in India and corporate world have boomed distinctly. Recent growth in Indian economy is added advantage. I will return to my home country India after completing my studies.
These days companies are setting there offices in India and they need people who could look after their blooming business with great skills. So I will have great career prospects in India. Once I will complete my course I will return and setup my family business or make sure to grow it distinctively, also I can get some great offers from International companies in India as Business Manager, Marketing Manager, Business Development Manager and Business Specialist and many more great careers.
I am confident that I have fulfilled all the pre-conditions of Student Visa Application for Canada Study Permit.

In addition to what others have said, you don't need to capitalize random words in between sentences. That's not correct English writing.

What is "I have a tiny and happy world"?

Many obvious blatant lies and exaggeration, visa officers can easily see that you're just trying too hard to write an SOP which doesn't make sense at all.

It reads like a 3rd grade English writing. Not someone going to undergraduate.

My name is Rahul Kumar Mittal (27.08.1988) and I would like to take this opportunity to express my motivation and ambition to study in Canada through this statement. I hail from the Kaithal District of the State of Haryana



In the early years of my education, I developed an interest in the subject of mechanical engineering. This kept growing manifold as I kept researching and reading about the subjects and the other aspects covered in the study of Mechanical Engineering. So, after completing my Class 10 from OS DAV Public School, Kaithal, Haryana, in 2004 with an overall score of 65.3%, I chose to move away from my hometown to Pehowa, Haryana to pursue my further studies. In Pehowa, I went to Himalaya Public School and took up the non-medical stream for my Class 11 and Class 12. I had Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the core subjects for my Class 11 and Class 12, and I completed my schooling in 2006 with an overall score of 67.4%. As I had a decent score in my Class 12, I managed to get admission into the Kurukshetra University for the Bachelors of Technology (Mechanical Engineering) which was of my area of interest and also my aim since childhood. I completed the 4 year bachelor’s degree in June 2010 with an overall score of 69.3%.



I had a drive to learn more of the subject and help others learn as well. So, on 21.08.2010, I joined Shri Krishan Institute of Engineering Technology, Kurukshetra as a Lecturer in the department of Mechanical Engineering. There, I worked till 12.06.2013. With an urge to learn more on the subject, in 2014 I decided to pursue Masters of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with the specialization in Thermal from National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra. As a part of the Masters, I also submitted a dissertation entitled, “Experimental Investigation of Solar Powered Baking Bricks/Tiles Based on Scheffler Reflection in Indian Climatic Conditions”. After completing my Masters in 2016 with an overall CGPA of 7.7, I started working at Chandigarh Engineering College, as an Assistant Professor of the Mechanical Engineering department from 12.07.2016 to 06.06.2017. As the work of place was 3 hours away from my hometown, I decided to find a job somewhere closer to my home and family in Kaithal. Keeping my family in mind, I moved to Haryana again and started working at Universal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lalru, which is a town in Haryana about 1.5 hours away from my home. I have been working there as an Assistant Professor from 01.08.2017 till date.





I have always believed that an overseas educational experience can bring more opportunities for me in the future. So, I explored and compared all the options. As told by everyone around me and also based on what has been witnessed in the past, that Canada is one of the best destinations for international studies. Institutions in Canada offers a variety of diplomas and degrees, so international students can easily find the college and field of their interest. Canadian colleges are regularly ranked amongst the top institutions in the world and in 2021, according to the QS World University Rankings, 7 out of the top 100 were Canadian institutes with many in the top 500 as well. Canadian education system focuses on practical learning that encourages creative, independent thought with a critical analysis. The Canadian government closely monitors the education system so that the quality remains high. Canadian qualifications are recognized by employers and leading educational institutions in many countries around the world. Great care is taken in looking after the students. Canada has a very low crime rate and strict laws providing as a safe environment. The country is home to many student friendly cities with high standards of living. Overall, I also felt that the cost of living and tuition expenses in Canada were relatively affordable than other countries.

After detailed research, I have chosen the Project Management program at Canadore College as it will help me to handle and manage projects from inception until the final stage. The aim of this course is to prepare students for a bright career in management. It is specifically designed for students looking for a specialized career in management and administration particularly in the corporate sector. I will be introduced to the principles of management and through case study analysis and real world examples; I will learn how to apply these concepts to address problems and opportunities facing both domestic and international markets. This program is a multidisciplinary one and covers a range of areas. Its specializationsinclude theexecution, monitoring and control of projects. Moreover, I chose a project management course because I have enough knowledge related to this course and I have approximately 2 years of similar work experience. I want to gain more skills and enhance my knowledge in digital management. This course will equip me with the skills and knowledge relevant to a career in management. Some of the subjects that I will study in this course are Project Management Fundaments, Change Management, Quality Management & Lean Methodology, Stakeholder & Communication Management etc. After this course I will find abundant opportunities in fields of marketing, sales, operations, management, human resources etc.

My next step was to find a suitable institution for my Project Management program. After research and consultation, I applied for Canadore College. The college has four campus locations in Ontario State. I have selected the North Bay campus. This college has a history of many successful graduates. The institute is culturally diverse as thousands of international students come to thiscampus every year and I will be able to get international exposure. I have chosen this college as the course is well structured to provide complete knowledge and skills and the course is flexible and I can choose electives of my own choice. I believe it would serve as the perfect destination for me to achieve my future goals. With world-class skills, tools and techniques to project activities, diverse student culture the college would be a great opportunity for me tonot only develop my technical understanding, but also boost my overall personality. Canadore is well known for its student satisfaction and graduate employability skills. Its class sizes are kept small so that students can receive personal attention from teachers when they face problems. This will be a crucial period of my life and I am confident that Canadore will give me every opportunity to succeed in my future career. As the work of place was 3 hours away from my hometown, I decided to find a job somewhere closer to my home and family in Kaithal. Keeping my family in mind, I moved to Haryana again and started working at Universal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lalru, which is a town in Haryana about 1.5 hours away from my home. I have been working there as an Assistant Professor from 01.08.2017 till date.





I have always believed that an overseas educational experience can bring more opportunities for me in the future. So, I explored and compared all the options. As told by everyone around me and also based on what has been witnessed in the past, that Canada is one of the best destinations for international studies. Institutions in Canada offers a variety of diplomas and degrees, so international students can easily find the college and field of their interest. Canadian colleges are regularly ranked amongst the top institutions in the world and in 2021, according to the QS World University Rankings, 7 out of the top 100 were Canadian institutes with many in the top 500 as well. The Canadian government closely monitors the education system so that the quality remains high. Canadian qualifications are recognized by employers and leading educational institutions in many countries around the world. Great care is taken in looking after the students. Overall, I also felt that the cost of living and tuition expenses in Canada were relatively affordable than other countries.

After detailed research, I have chosen the Project Management program at Canadore College as it will help me to handle and manage projects from inception until the final stage. The aim of this course is to prepare students for a bright career in management. It is specifically designed for students looking for a specialized career in management and administration particularly in the corporate sector. I will be introduced to the principles of management and through case study analysis and real world examples; I will learn how to apply these concepts to address problems and opportunities facing both domestic and international markets. This program is a multidisciplinary one and covers a range of areas. Its specializationsinclude theexecution, monitoring and control of projects. Moreover, I chose a project management course because I have enough knowledge related to this course and I have approximately 2 years of similar work experience. I want to gain more skills and enhance my knowledge in digital management. This course will equip me with the skills and knowledge relevant to a career in management. Some of the subjects that I will study in this course are Project Management Fundaments, Change Management, Quality Management & Lean Methodology, Stakeholder & Communication Management etc. After this course I will find abundant opportunities in fields of marketing, sales, operations, management, human resources etc.

My next step was to find a suitable institution for my Project Management program. After research and consultation, I applied for Canadore College. The college has four campus locations in Ontario State. I have selected the North Bay campus. This college has a history of many successful graduates. The institute is culturally diverse as thousands of international students come to thiscampus every year and I will be able to get international exposure. I have chosen this college as the course is well structured to provide complete knowledge and skills and the course is flexible and I can choose electives of my own choice. So, on 21.08.2010, I joined Shri Krishan Institute of Engineering Technology, Kurukshetra as a Lecturer in the department of Mechanical Engineering. There, I worked till 12.06.2013. With an urge to learn more on the subject, in 2014 I decided to pursue Masters of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with the specialization in Thermal from National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra. There are PM chapters in India so you can take the course in India. Why Canada since PM is a generic course for someone with your background. Who cares if Canadore has a high satisfaction rate. PM course doesn’t require “dedication and hard work”….a PhD or Masters does. PM can be taken part time, at home. Also please don’t call Ontario a state.

I have been working there as an Assistant Professor (Coordinator of department) from 01/08/2017 to till date where my job and responsibilities are to assist with various departmental duties which include providing academic support to Professors and mentoring new assistant professors. Having made the cultural exchange once, a return to my home country will give me the opportunity to enter the job market at a higher level than I would do otherwise, and combine the knowledge of my home country with my new-found experience gained in Canada. Moreover, having a global perspective proves very advantageous in any business. Thus, my international studies will be a massive boom to my career.



Initially, I had applied to study in Canada before but my visa application was refused on 28th April 2021 as the Visa Officer was not convinced that I would return to my home country after my proposed studies. However, I would like to state that my ties to my family are strong and I want to settle close to my family in the future as it is my responsibility to repay their support. Unfortunately, in 2018, I lost my father and I had to be there to support mother and to look after my family business (Digital Solution 4 U) which was run by my mother with the help and support of my dearest father who is no more now. Although I am running my own part time business with the name Vrinda Herbal Care. The consistent growth of Vrinda Herbal Care gave me confidence to explore more into business. Last year in 2020 I got married and the responsibilities increased. Hence, on completing my course I will return to India with requisite knowledge and experience.

My family is having sufficient financial savings and annual income in order to support my overall expense in Canada. My family is having total annual income of worth Rs 21 Lac which is sufficient for my overall expenses in Canada. I have paid CAD 14,947.50 as my first semester and second semester tuition fee. Besides this, I have also paid living expense of CAD 10,035.00 for first year of my stay in Canada. Further, as I am a genuine student who really want to have international education and exposure, I would request the kind visa officer to approve my study visa. I will abide by all student visa conditions and will return back to my home country after completion of my selected course being a genuine student.

If anyone wants to run their own business, it makes little sense to spend so much on foreign education, period.
In this case, even more less so: college certificate + low-level college + lower academic level than previously achieved = Disaster.

Besides this, I have also paid living expense of CAD 10,035.00 for first year of my stay in Canada. Further, as I am a genuine student who really want to have international education and exposure, I would request the kind visa officer to approve my study visa. I will abide by all student visa conditions and will return back to my home country after completion of my selected course being a genuine student.
