My husband and I applied last year in October. We submitted police clearance certificates for both of us when we applied. In September this year they asked us again for a new police clearance certificate for my husband as he is the main applicant. We sent it to them and after that we got our medical request and then RPRF on 19th November but today my husband got an email from them asking for a police certificate. It looks exactly like the one sent two months ago but the dates are different. I don't know what's happening. Can anyone please tell me what this is. We are thinking of emailing them the last letter and the police certificate to tell them that we already did this two months ago.

I believe in the email reply to CIC email, you should put the reference or tracking number of the post if you sent the original PCC by tracked post and mention the date received by CIC if you have. In the email you could attach a scan of the PCC if you have one. Hopefully this should close the issue.

Yeah I sent them an email. I don't know I'm so worried, this is probably causing a delay in the process now :(
Also I don't know when they will respond to my email.

I hear GCMS case notes reveal if there are issues in processing. Did you order GCMS case notes? If yes does it reveal any issues?

I ordered them in the beginning of this month and haven't received them yet :(

Please see my new post on the frequency of ordering next GCMS notes! Thanks

I feel like I should wait for the one I applied for and then think about maybe ordering them again. I'm so frustrated with everything now that I don't wanna cause more problems.

How long does CIC take to reply to an email? I am getting worried now because I don't know if they will reply before the date on this new letter expires.

Agree with you on waiting for response before shooting another GCMS request.

From what I have seen so far and I may be wrong, CIC do not reply to emails showing positive aspects like...we have received your PCC....Your docs are now in order...etc...etc.. CIC would only send emails if they need anything. In response to our follow-up, the general email response would be that CIC would contact us if they need more information....

This is somewhat discomforting, but alas this is how it is. This is (PR) Visa issue and does not allow much queries from applicant.

Thank you for the information but it's really worrying me now. I'm thinking of going to the MP office and requesting them to ask what this recent email meant. I don't wanna take any risks and at the same
Time I think I've waited enough also. Can't afford more delays, specially when I've already submitted the police certificate twice.

GCMS notes reply should be received in 30 days time as per regulations (in very few exceptions it might be longer than this), so you may be very close to receiving it. The Notes might be a good indication of current status after you have sent PCC. You may choose to wait a few days for GCMS and then decide on approaching MP.
Thx

I am waiting for the gcms notes now. The MP keeps telling me to wait or to send an email which I already did. She isn't really being helpful.
