Hello Respected Sir/Madam...
My name is Sukhjeeven Singh Sidhu, I am from punjab (india)

I have completed my B.tech in Mechanical stream this year with 65.14% (31 backlogs), cleared all exams with in the session 2011-2015...
((More details 1st sem - 56.5% 2nd sem - 64.9% 3rd sem - 54.4% 4th sem - 61.4% 5th sem - 63.4% 6th sem - 65% 7th sem - 73% 8th sem - 84% ))
you can see my percentage increased semester by semester from 3rd to 8th, the reason behind low percentage in 1st and 2nd sem, I was not interested in mechanical engineering but i was pushed for it by my parents... 3rd,7th,8th were cleared in time with no backlogs.. seriously I left no stone unturned in last years to clear 20 exmas at last..

and 12th (math, chemistry, science) with 72.5% (session 2010-2011)...

10th with 74.11% (session 2008-2009)...

IELTS- 6.5 band
Speaking, Reading, Writing (6.5 each) & listening 7 bands..

I am looking for MBA (or any other course) in any University/college in Canada/Australia (relatives in both countries)..
1) am I eligible ??
2) is my profile strong enough ??
3) Will I get an admission??
4) which country and college/university will be suitable for me ??

You do not have work experience, hence for an MBA you have to get a good score in GMAT. Without any doubt you have to write GMAT no other option. I don't know of Australia, but if you want a good university in canada GMAT of 550+ is mandatory. Don't take up an MBA which doesn't need GMAT its not a good course.

Besides this from what i know lot of universities in Canada want Work Exp for an MBA. Do your research on this Criterion first.

As for your profile, its absolutely fine nothing to worry. The backlogs might play a role in the visa interview but universities generally don't dig too much into it.

The choice of course is yours, but being from an engineering background better to do masters in engineering it will be easier to justify your SOP and letter of recommendations. Just a suggestion the decision is based on your interests. Nobody can help with this question except yourself!

For MBA again depends on what you wanna specialise. Being an engineer i am not sure if you are interested to pursue MBA finance. this again.. you are the best judge of your interests.

You may consider Wilfrid Laurier, queens, Manitoba,Victoria(no preference order just random) these are some schools reachable with your profile and a good GMAT score. Manitoba might need a higher GMAT coz it was rated the best B School in Canada this year. For MBA i would suggest you to stick to the top provinces i.e British columbia, ontario, Alberta, Quebec(if u speak french) and, Manitoba. From what i know these places will give MBAs a job. Other provinces are not so famous for creating MBA jobs, not even a Coop job.

Thanku kartz, your advise is worth praising... I really appreciate it... so according to your thoughts I should go for mastera in mechanical engineering, I have same thought, but my agent recommended me of MBA...

He said that backlogs will be a reason for my Visa rejection...

what are the Chances of visa with m.tech (mechinal) in Australia and canada as per my profile ??
