Dear 2174 Candidate.

THIS POST IS STRICTLY FOR THOSE WHO ARE PREPARING FILE AND GOING TO SEND THE APPLICATION.

Kindly make a note of below things.

1. NOC 0213 was there in 2010 which was in category of Information technology.

2. About 40% files return due to the job duties did not matched with NOC 0213.One of my friend was witness of this.Therefore care should be taken while taking note of NOC 2174 duties. 40% CAME TO NOTICE FROM TRACIIT FORUM.

3. Based on my study in HRDS weside for all IT related NOC, Current NOC 2174 is damn skilled occupation which required good technical skills.

4. Many people really work on this NOC 2174 and many are not, though you are working for 2174 or not AND APPLYING AGAINST NOC 2174, I believe you should get review your job duties with your best friend who is working for 2174 NOC. Or get it review from seniors. I know you may ask why to review though you are working on it. Read point 5.

5. NOC 2174 description in HRDS site is given in English like language!, However It should be more in depth of technical in your form.

6. Immigration officer MUST realize that you are genuine worker for 2174, if not they will reject your case.

7. It is always good idea to verify the duties so that there won't be any chances for rejection. 2174 demanding many technical skills requirement.

8. Remember, Sydney NS just check the NOC code not job details. That will actually verify at Local CA Visa office. MEANING AT 2ND STAGE OF PROCESS.

9. What I strongly suggest to ALL CANDIDATE who are still going to send the application need to double check the duties which they have mentioned.

10. Person who has just copy and past the duties from HRDS are having less chances to get though.

11. Person who is taking help of consultant are not aware of NOC duties, rather they wont care what duties you have brought on
paper. Thats shame.Ideally they should review it.

12. Just think how many people have mentioned correct duties against NOC 2174??!!

13. Major removal of file would be from there.

14. I know non of the candidate share his/her duties against 2174, if so you can realise how many of them haven't got experience for
2174 and making fraud claim!

Good post!

My advice to those obtaining references from employers is to first get a reference from the employer asking them to describe your job and list all the duties you perform. This will then be a very genuine reference and not just copied from the NOC duty list.

HOWEVER, if reading the reference you notice the employer has omitted a duty from the NOC list which you genuinely performed, then go back to the employer and ask if the reference can be amended to include that duty/those duties.

My wife sent the reference back to her manager a couple of times after review until they were both happy that this genuinely reflected the duties she performed.

CIC do not want to see copy/paste duties but also they will fail an application if a substantial amount of the duties are not met (which we believe is around 50% but the officer is allowed a certain level of discretion). So the trick is to try to get the balance.

Same thing happen with me sir!

I went personally when things were not sort out by emails and phone calls.

I find many difficulties because my seniors were resign and need to talk to most seniors for making final duties which I performed during my employment.
However, finally I got what I wanted to have on letter head. :)

Hi Folks ,

I'm Imran ..currently i'm doing my ECA. Please help me out with getting my reference letters from my employer.
Till date i have 2 employers. from the list of positions listed under NOC2174, i fall under 'programmer analyst' which i served with my previous employer. So how do i go about with getting my reference letters. I served as 'programmer analyst' for close to 2 years.
Appreciate your help on this..
