Hi There,

I came to Canada last year as a Permanent Resident along with my spouse and kid. I was principal applicant for us.
Now I want to go back but my spouse and kid want to stay here.

Question here is, Me being a principal applicant leaving country will effect my spouse and kid PR ??

How did you and your family immigrate to Canada in the first place? On what type of visa?

Since you and your family has already landed, the answer is no. It won't affect your wife and child if they wish to remain here. Keep in mind though that once you leave the country you will need to meet the RO on a continuing basis to keep your PR.

Since we are already landed can I still withdraw my application?? as if I don't want them to leave here.

Withdraw what? You can't withdraw your PR application as it's already finalized. You can relinquish your personal PR but you can't force your wife nor your child to give up theirs.

Agreed. It's much too late to withdraw your PR application when you already landed. Your leaving will not affect the PR status of your wife and child. They are free to stay in Canada if they want to and apply for citizenship when they qualify. You will however eventually lose your PR if you leave and end up not fulfilling the residency obligation.

I'm pretty sure there is some way to give up your PR. It's too late to withdraw your PR application as it's over already, like others said. Why not just leave Canada? If you stay outside for too long, they might report you the next time you come in, then your PR will be revoked. Is anything detrimental to you for being PR outside of Canada?

Why the heck would you want to relinquish their PRs if they want to live here still? Are you trying to force them back to your home country with you?

As was mentioned though the answer is no, you can't control anything to do with their PR status. The only one you have control over is your own PR status.
