Firstly, how is the job market related to IT sector. I've heard its difficult to get in. The reason i'm moving is because the masters here in university of winnipea has low tuitions and cost of living is affordable. So with choosing any kind of job other than IT for the initial months can cover my rent and education?

Secondly, What are the local dos and don't here?

Lastly, I'm not financially good so repaying the loan is practically possible after masters?

Congrats on getting your study permit approved. IT sector jobs are very difficult to find in any province. Canadians with Masters and years of Canadian experience have been let go or cannot find jobs. Immigration is no longer focussed on IT. If you have vast foreign experience with large MNCs and niche skills then you may find something.

Buy lots of warm clothes..don't be cheap. Be vigilant because area around the university is sketchy as you are in the inner city. As for part time job, you may get some retail/fast food work but it will not cover both rent and education.

Since you have an approved study permit you would have justified the costs of the program with a higher salary when you return home. Getting a loan to go to the U of Winnipeg is a gamble being a bottom tier school.

IRCC wants to see that you can afford your studies and not rely on loans that you may not be able to pay back. So hopefully you are showing cash in the bank and a small loan. That is why you have to justify costs with higher pay when you return to pay back loan. Don't expect to pay it back with a Canadian job.
