Planning to land Canada in January

We are planning to land in Canada in January with our two year old kid. Is that a good idea. Our visa has been processed but we have to finish so many things here in India before going so we planned to land. January. We are worried also
Can anyone please advice us about the feasibility of our planning

So of course January is winter but depends what your concerns are other than the weather . Will this be a soft landing or landing for good ?

In terms of weather I would advise to avoid Jan and feb months if you can due to winter, unless you are not going to be in east coast.
During Spring/Summer its an easy transition to find accommodation, job or settle down.
